These are my new friends from the farmers market on Saturday. They don’t know it yet, but we will be greeting each other weekly in the future. LOVE their smiles and especially those patterned overalls. The mornings are chilly at the market these days. It’s important to dress right!

Pumpkins remain front and center, as they should in October.

A table of liquid amber. So, so, so, beautiful.

The BEST thing at the market was catching my 2 favorites of all time – Mr. Chahine who started the Lebanese Flower – (baklava!) and Thuy from Liquid Garden (juice & protein balls). It’s so funny how we really don’t know each other well, but over the years they feel important to me – because they are my neighbors, my people.

The squash, the squash, the squash – whatever variety you want… it’s here.

Flower season is coming to an end soon… but these zinnias were fabulous yesterday.

Here is what came home with me. I was delighted to find some marigolds AND a dried arrangement for the vase I have been putting fresh eucalyptus in each week.

It’s time to stock the freezer with biscuits for the cozy soups and stews that will be coming this winter. Yes, I can make a good biscuit… but these are extra special.
