A recent walk through the Baker wetlands. Early in the morning with the mist rising – perfect conditions for viewing spider webs and staying slightly cool before the sun gets all the way up in the sky.







There is a great crop of American Lotus on display out there right now. When viewed in such large numbers the abundance makes them even more magical. “An embarrassment of riches” as someone said somewhere, sometime, about something.



Nature is such a balm to me.
